We're Back

I know you all probably thought I was done blogging for good. Surprise....I'm back! I thought I'd update everyone with some pictures. We are having fun figuring things out as a family of four now. Nora is such a wonderful addition to our family! She is so patient, calm, and laid back. She really brings such a special spirit into our home. It is so wonderful to have my kids here and be able to enjoy them. Eli loves kissing Nora and helping with everything "baby". He is a great big brother. We hope you enjoy our family pictures.

We went to and got some studio photos done when Nora was a week old. We didn't realize Eli was so photogenic. It's funny because he got some really good pictures even though he wasn't very cooperative.

Some of my family (Mom, Dad, and two younger brothers, Spencer and Tyler) were able to come down and visit when Nora was two weeks old. While they were here we were able to do Nora's blessing.

Nora had to be admitted to the hospital last week because of an infection. She was finally released after five days of IV antibiotics. She is doing much better now. Thank you all for you love, support, and prayers during this time. We are very lucky to have so many people in our lives.

Christmas Vacation

I know, we are nearing the end of January and I am just now posting about our Christmas Vacation. We got a new camera for Christmas and I didn't now how to download the pictures, well I still don't, but Andrew did it for me. I have more pictures from January that I will be posting, but for this post we will just stick to Christmas.

So for Christmas, we flew to SLC, Utah then drove to Boise, ID where my parents currently live. It was a very interesting trip to say the least. My Dad got the stomach flu on the drive to Idaho, then Eli and got it a couple of days later...which just happened to be Christmas day! I was bed ridden the entire day as well as most of the following day. Luckily it didn't hit Eli as hard. To make matters worse, we all got colds shortly before driving back to Utah and then flying back home. The cherry on top was a couple of days after we got home...I got the stomach flu again!! This time it was New Year's Eve. It was just not my year for holidays I guess. Luckily, the stomach flu skipped Andrew all together. Even with all the craziness we were still able to capture some really fun moments.

It didn't snow our entire trip until the morning we had to leave when there was a blizzard. But there was some snow on the ground in Utah so we bundled Eli up in snow clothes and took him sledding.

Eli's favorite was when Grandpa would take him out to his garden and pick a carrot for him. He would carry around the carrot for hours!

Just Catching Up

It has been a busy month. Eli is growing up so fast. His favorite toys are his push mower and a little coupe car.
We had a fun Halloween this year. Besides the ward Trunk-or-Treat party we went to a fall festival where they had this Toy Story area set up.

Then Eli and I went to a friend's Halloween party while Andrew had some quiet study time. Even though Andrew got me an awesome sewing machine I haven't spent much time using it, but I was determined to make Eli a Superman cape just like the one my mom made when I was a kid. So I threw it together during his nap, in about an hour and a half, the day of the party.

I was also able to see my good friend Leslie. We have known each other since I moved to Florida when I was nine. We also lived together my Sophmore year of college. She is living out in CA so I only get to see her a couple of times a year.

I mainly use this blog to post pictures of Eli for friends and family out of town. But sorry, no picts today...only a book. For those of you who know me well, you know I am a pretty private, down to earth girl. I don't do a lot of "girl talk" or gush about what I'm thinking, etc. That being said....I just got home from another wonderful shopping trip to Publix and I just have to write about how much I love that store! You see, when I was a working girl (prior to last May) I never considered couponing. I just didn't have the time and I thought couponing was saving 15 cents on 8 cups of yogurt...no thank you! I loved buying in bulk at Costco and Sams where I could come home with enough tissue paper to last me for the year, or whatever it was I needed. So when my other SAHM friends/family started trying to get me into couponing I resisted at first. They wore me down over time telling me about how they would get all kinds of stuff for free. But I do not like shopping for groceries (and more importantly Eli hates it) and did not want to run all over town going to six different stores just to get a few items for free that I really didn't want anyway.

That is when I learned about Publix's coupon policy. I already knew about their awesome BOGO deals (they usually have about 45 items BOGO a week) but I did not know that they accepted competitor coupons and that they could be combined with manufacturer coupons. Publix also sends out a coupon in their mailer for $10 off a $50 purchase. The first time I did it I was scared I was going to have a cart full of groceries and that they would nit pick every coupon and somehow figure out a way to invalidate each of them and I would be stuck paying for a whole bunch of stuff I really wouldn't have purchased if I wasn't getting it so cheap. But their cashiers are AWESOME. Everyone is so friendly and you never have to wait in long lines. (I avoid the Super Walmart like the plague because I become so frustrated it turns me into a monster)

Anyway, so after the first time I was hooked. It is true I have been buying some things that I never would have bought, like Hamburger Helper...I never would have purchased that but they paid me to take it out of the store. I like to cook with fresh foods so chances are I won't use it but now when the holidays come and everyone is doing food drives I will have lots of stuff on hand to donate to those in need. It also may come in handy if I just can't get inspired for dinner one night. It has also helped with food storage for my family and just stocking up on stuff we use every day. Today I got $90 worth of groceries for $18. I love the reaction I get from the cashiers. I got free deodorant and cans of Campbell's select soup and I got boxes of Crispix (my favorite) cereal for $1 each.

It is time consuming...last night I was up till midnight printing coupons and making my game plan, but I realized it is fun to hunt down the deals and do-able since they can all be found at one store.

Side note...after I said above about doing couponing because I am not working...I guess that isn't entirely true because a couple of weeks ago I became a "working girl" again - sort of. I love Tampa General and apparently they love me to because they didn't want to let me go, so they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. We were able to work out an arrangement were I can work as much or as little as I would like - from home. How awesome is that? I believe I am the first "pool" Financial Analyst in their history. And with Andrew in his Masters program now it gives me something to do when I am missing him the nights he has class or is studying. Of course Eli keeps me super busy so I just get a few hours here and there while he is sleeping but I am so lucky to be able to be the mom that I've always wanted to be and still be able to do a little of the work I love on the side without taking anything away from him. I'm a lucky girl.

Busy Summer

Well, it has been a very busy summer! Eli is swimming on his own now with floaties, so we spend a lot of time hanging by the pool.

Andrew and I were asked to be group leaders for this year's Youth Conference. We had a blast! Here is Andrew with some of the boys from our ward. He was recently released as 1st Councelor in the Young Men's because he is starting his Master's program next week and will have class on Wednesday nights. I know he is going to miss these guys.

The following weekend we went on a road trip to North Carolina to see Andrew's cousin get married. We drove 11 hours through the night to arrive at the temple in time. Eli was such a trooper...here he is, bright eyed and bushy tailed.

The next day we turned around and drove home. It was a very quick trip!

This is one of those "rides" at the mall that you can put quarters into. I never put money in because I didn't want Eli to know that they moved since he is perfectly happy playing with them when they don't move. Well Grandma couldn't resist...so now the secret is out. Eli's expression when it started to move was priceless.
My new favorite thing that Eli does is he holds the phone up to his ear and just starts jabbering. It melts my heart.
I have a cold right, so I stayed home from church yesterday. Andrew took Eli with him to church and I thought the outfit he put Eli in was so adorable.

Today was a Pretty Great Day

Today I....

- Got to sleep in a little ( I'm not sure if Eli slept late or I just didn't have his monitor turned up loud enough - either way he was fine and I felt great)

- Ran four miles with the jogging stroller, it was such a nice day today

- Played for a long time at the park with my little guy

- Had lunch

- Watched Eli play in the pool (whoever invented little arm floaties is a genius) while relaxing in my lounge chair reading "Twilight"... again

- Had a nice long bubble bath and read more "Twilight" while Eli took his nap

- Just greeted my wonderful husband who walked in the door after a long day in the office so that I could stay home and do all this....how did I get so lucky???

Eli and I just got back from a VERY fun trip to Idaho to see all of my family. We went to celebrate my yougest brother's graduation from high school. Unfortunately Andrew had to stay behind and work.

Before the trip I had been nervous about Eli and I flying by ourselves. Since we were flying to Boise we had to have two layovers to get there. All in all it was suppose to be about a ten hour trip. When we got to the airport we were told that our flight had been canceled. To make a long story short...it tacked another 6 hours on to our travel time. We ended up killing about four hours in the Tampa Airport. Luckily they had this fun play area for Eli. I'm pretty sure he couldn't tell the difference between it and Disneyworld (which we had been to a few days earlier). Here are some pictures.

All in all, he did so well! By the time we got there at 2am ET, we were both crying (and random people on the plane were offering to hold him for me or rub my shoulders) but we were in one piece. I really was so proud of him...it was a very long day! Side note - the way back was much easier!!

Anyway, It was so much fun to see my family. I hadn't seen them in about a year. My sister, Michelle, and I both had boys about the same time last year. The boys had grown so much since they had last been together (when Eli was six weeks old and Graham was 10 weeks.) They had so much fun playing together. They were a cute little partnership - Graham would open the doors for Eli so he could sneak outside and Eli would push Graham around on the trike.

It was also clear while we were there that Eli preferred my Dad over anyone else there - including me! Anytime he would walk in the room Eli would light up. My dad would take Eli on multiple walks a day and sometimes Eli would return home asleep. So cute!

It seems like we went to the park just about every day...to feed the ducks, have picnics, long board, bike, walks, look at fish and just let the kids play. Boise has beautiful parks. Here are some picts of Eli swinging, sliding, running, and playing.

But best of all was seeing Tyler graduate. We love you Tyler!!

Best Job in the World

I have always been pretty lucky getting good jobs. I never had to do fast food or manual labor. I was also very blessed that with those jobs I was able to pay my own way through college and my own living expenses.

After college I got really lucky and landed a great job at Tampa General Hospital as a Financial Analyst. It was a great work environment, great people, and it was very interesting. I was always working on a new project - everything from revenue transformations to transplants (in fact I was able to be in the operating room for two open heart procedures and a kidney transplant). I worked on modeling managed care contracts, determining how new legislation would impact our hospital, and month end financials. The list goes on and on. This was such a great job that after Eli was born they allowed me to work from home.

I always knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom and Andrew wanted that as well. So in January I put in my notice. I spent the next couple of months trying to get my replacement ready to take over. As of tomorrow I will have been a stay at home mom for two weeks! I have been having so much fun that I haven't taken time to stop and blog about it. It truly is the very best job in the world.

We have been to the beach, hung out with friends, been shopping, swimming, playing, the list goes on. Here are a few picts of some of the fun we have been having.

We finally closed on our house!! As of yesterday we are officially homeowners. We are so excited and so thankful to my wonderful in-laws who took us in for the last 11 months while we looked for a house. All the effort has finally paid off!

When I realized I still had a Thanksgiving background on my blog - I knew I had a lot of catching up to do. So here are some random pictures of what we have been up to over the past couple of months. (Side note : It hard to get good picts of a nine month old)

The first few pictures are of our house that we will be closing on at the end of the month. I know some of you are thinking..."She has said this before but it was a different house". Well, that is true. But that was a short sale and ultimately the sellers couldn't get the bank to provide the appropriate paperwork. So we gave up on that house and found this one in the same area, which we like better anyway. And this one has a pool which will make the hot summer days much more enjoyable!

Although I would love to update our blog once a week, once a month is more realistic. So this is what the Glancy's have been up to for the past month or so...

We got a popcorn maker and Andrew is loving it!
Once night he got a little over zealous. I just had to take a picture because it was hilarious!

Eli is growing so fast. I wish I could slow down time. I love being a mom!!

I can't believe my little man is growing up so fast! He loves to jabber and put everything that he can get his hands on into his mouth. He is so much fun and we are loving every moment with him. Things have been very busy for us lately - hence the lack of blog updating. Andrew started a new job at Tampa General Hospital several months ago and has been accepted to the USF Masters of Information Systems program for the fall. He starts class next week! I am still working as a Financial Analyst for Tampa General Hospital and am very fortunate to be able to work from home so I can be with Eli. We are still house shopping and living with Kitty and Phill until we find one. Thanks for checking in on us! Enjoy the picts below.

I turned 26 last week and had a wonderful birthday with my family. We went to Chili's for lunch and then my mother-in-law and I roped Andrew and my father-in-law into going to Ikea. It was our first trip to the one they just built here in Tampa. I knew this would be a prime opportunity to get Andrew to Ikea because he wouldn't be able to complain about it on my birthday. Birthdays are the best!! Andrew really is an amazing husband he just doesn't find hours of looking at super modern furniture entertaining. What guy can blame him. Anyway, as soon as we arrived at Ikea Eli had to go naked (just a diaper and a blanket) because I forgot to pack an "emergency" outfit in the diaper bag. We were getting some weird looks from people and a few comments like "where are that baby's clothes". It was a fun, memorable day! Here are some picts...

Visit to Utah

We recently had the opportunity to go to Utah to see our family. Eli was just seven weeks old. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Eli did so well the whole time. We got to meet our new nephew, Graham. We got to see Andrew's older brother, Kirk, graduate from the University of Utah. Eli got to meet his great grandparents and Aunts and Uncles for the first time. This is the Mooso family all together after our nephew blessing.

Blessing Day

Sunday was a very special day for our family because it was Eli's blessing day. He looked very handsome in his white outfit complete with tie and vest. We were very grateful that my parents and youngest brother, Tyler, were able to come from Utah for this special occasion. We are also very grateful for Andrew's family who are just fantastic! We are so fortunate to be surrounded by so much love. We are truly blessed!

Born March 21st at 11:40 AM. 8lbs 7oz and 20 inches long with a full head of hair. Contractions started around 1:30 PM on the 20th and Tiff was admitted at 9 PM that evening. At 6 AM on the 21st the doctor started her on Petosin and within the hour had her epidural. The nurse checked her at 10:40 AM and she was dilated to 10cm and an intense hour followed. Tiff was super strong and did great and baby Eli was born without any complications.

I figured I'd log in and update everyone. As of last Friday(the 13th) Tiff was almost at 3cm and 80% effaced. Yesterday we had what was hopefully our last doctors appointment and she was "right at a 4". She started having contractions on Saturday and they have been off and on all week. Mon and Tues we were about to go to the hospital because she was having contractions for over an hour with them 5 minutes apart. The doctor stripped her membranes yesterday in hopes it might help jump start these contractions but its been pretty uneventful. So we still have a few days before her due date so we aren't stressed but we are pretty anxious.

35 Weeks

So Tiff is 35 weeks now and counting! We had an appointment with the doctor today and we had another ultrasound. The technician took some more pictures and got a really nice 3D shot of his face. Man that is one cute kid! Of course I may be a little biased.

Tiff is doing great though. Like all women she obsesses about her weight but I just keep telling her if you want a sweet baby you have to eat sweet foods! I think she likes that. But Tiff is looking great and anyone with a brain has to do a double take and ask her if she is really pregnant because she looks so darn good!

While we were out in Utah for Christmas my Mom and my sister-in-law, Chloe, had a baby shower for my sister and I. Michelle is due about 5 1/2 weeks before I am. When people started asking me to post picts of my belly I realized that we have very few.... so we made an effort to take a few while Andrew and I had a nice day at the temple recently. I am 32 weeks at this point so only 8 weeks to go!! We are having fun preparing for our little boy to arrive and watching my belly wobble as he moves around.

Well its been a while so we figured we might update you guys on whats up with we Glancy folk. Tiff stays so busy and pregnant that any time she thinks about updating the blog she's 35 seconds or less from being unconscious. She's a trooper man! So I thought I'd log in and do a post for her.
Alot has happened since our last post. I was in my final semester up at USF, finished up my last round of final exams, and now I am officially a college grad. Feels pretty good to be honest. The wife is way proud, now if I could just find a job!

For christmas this year we flew out to Utah and spent a week with Tiff's family. It was a blast. Snowed like crazy. I realized my 26 year old body is quite a bit different than its predecessors and for a few days after a pretty awesome day snowboarding I had to climb stairs on all fours. Ity was great to see all of Tiff's fam though and hang out and relax. Could have called it a perfect vacation had it not been for the flight home. I'm still to mad to talk about at length but just imagine a 7 month pregnant wife in tears at the gate for our flight, an irate husband that got way to worked up and had the airport security called on him and escorted out of the concord. I just got really mad typing that, we will never fly delta again!
Me and my father in law the day after Christmas. It dumped so much snow on Christmas day and the day after. Me on the lift going up the mountain, BEAUTIFULL!! Then all of us boys after the day on the mountain was over. Good day.

So anyways, we are back home now, Tiff is back working and as beautiful as ever waddling around and asking for me to help push her up any time she gets up out of bed or off the couch. Having a pregnant wife is awesome. I'm a big fat bum and sits at home all day and lets his pregnant wife go to work and support him. Well thats how I feel at times, but really i've been job hunting non-stop and praying that I can find something of substance here soon. So if any of you 3 people that read this know of anything, let me know!
Alot has happend this past month, and from the looks of it over the next few months alot more will happen.

A Special Visitor

We had a very special visitor recently...it was our adorable niece Olivia. Her and her mother, Missy, came to visit from Utah. It was so much fun to have them here! As you can tell Olivia was the center of attention anywhere she went. She had us wrapped around her little finger.

I recently got somewhat into photoshop and started getting a little more serious about learning its in and outs. A guy I do a lot of computer work for is quite proficient and has shown me some great stuff. Since then I have dabbled a bit more with it. On the last post, Tiff wanted to post a picture (and I find it funny you wives out there must always pick those pictures in which you all look great but are quite content throwing your husbands under the bus :D i love you Tiff!) of me and I wasn't having it because the glare was really bad. So I put my new found photoshop skills to the test. And hey, I'm no pro but I was happy with the results. You all be the judge. Maybe I can get better and the next picture Tiff posts is of her hubby with a 6 pack and 50 shades tanner!

October has been a very busy and exciting month for us. We are so excited we are having a little boy! We have been having fun thinking of names and talking about what it will be like. On October 7th my sweet husband turned 26 years old! To celebrate I made him his favorite meal - King Crab Legs. When I went to get the crab I saw this giant claw (he loves claw meat) and I knew I had to get it because I had never seen a claw that big before.
We also got him a suit for his Bday in preparation for the interviewing he will be doing around his graduation this December. Not bad, huh?

Summer 2008

Since this is our first blog I thought that we would update you all on our summer. Well, on July 17th we got the great news....we are pregnant!! We had been looking forward to that moment for years. It look about three more weeks for the morning sickness to hit...and boy did it hit! Luckily it seems to be easing up now.

In August I took a short trip out to San Antonio, TX to visit my old college roomate, Mikail. It was fun to catch up with her and her husband and spend time with their cute son. Here we are at the San Antonio River Walk.

After I returned from Texas Andrew and I started our week long vacation. We spend much of the week relaxing at home, going to movies, sleeping in, eating out and relaxing at the beach (keep in mind I was sick and pregnant and eating and sleeping was all I wanted to do.)

Here we are eating Coldstone icecream (our favorite) and hanging at the beach watching the sunset.

Late in the week we decided to get in the car and start driving north. We decided to try and make it to the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. And we made it!! I love the Smoky Mountains and it was so fun to go back. We spent most of our time on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Andrew found some really good boiled peanuts and we chowed down.

We had an ulrasound at 12 weeks so I thought I'd add the first pictures of our little peanut as well as a pict of my belly when I was at 12 weeks. We have another utrasound in 5 days so check back to find out if we are having a boy or girl!

Well here it is folks, Andrew and Tiffany are finally online with a blog like the rest of the world. I guess we just wanted to wait a while and make sure this whole internet thing was going to pan out before investing the whole 15 minutes of our lives to create this thing =) Don't expect anything spectacular, to be honest we'll be lucky if we update this thing on a monthly basis, but check back every so often to see what's happening with us!
